Daily update is a regular report or summary of events, progress, or changes that occur on a daily basis. The team provides a daily update on project developments during morning meetings.
If your Action delivers valuable information every day, consider letting users subscribe to it by registering for daily updates. You can prompt them to do so mid-conversation or as a suggestion chip when they exit your Action successfully. If you opt for the latter, be sure to show the user how your Action will benefit them every day before offering the subscription option.
Once a user has subscribed to your daily update, they will receive an Assistant notification each day at their scheduled time. When they tap this notification, they invoke one of the intents you’ve configured as a daily update, interacting with your Action again. Be sure to review our best practices for notifications when deciding whether to add a daily update registration prompt to your Action or intent. Daily updates are only available on devices running Android and iOS that have the Google Assistant app installed.
